A Day at a Time
It’s been difficult for me to maintain a routine during this pandemic. My days are somewhat scattered, and although I’ve been able to keep myself busy, time feels a bit blurred. My sleep schedule has suffered the most – I won’t fall asleep until at least 3AM most nights, no matter how hard I try (and I do try).
I’m sure many of us are experiencing the same thing as our days drift into catatonia. I know a lot of my friends are in the same boat. But I think it’s important to cut ourselves some slack. We’re living through a pandemic, after all. Nobody has ever experienced anything like this, and it is damn stressful. Maybe some routines need to suffer right now, an abstract compensation for the stress of the times.
At any rate, all we can do is make the most of things, however we can. I’m working on finishing old projects, while juggling a few new ones that have been inspired by the times. I’ve also opened (and even finished) some new books, to contrast my work time. It’s all a big mess, but again, isn’t that okay right now? Hope you’re cutting yourself some slack too. Stay healthy.
